Updating your GSX API Token for Weevio Scheduler & Notifier

Overview

With the launch of the RESTful GSX APIs, Apple changed authentication to a user-based tokenized system.  Starting May 31, 2022, GSX Web Services will limit the maximum duration of token exchanges that may be performed through the token API.  API users must generate a new token at the token website at least once every five months.  Once generated, subsequent token exchanges may resume through the token API. If a new token is not generated at the token website within this timeframe, the API will return an error and the Scheduler and Notifier apps will not be able to function until the token is replaced.  Below are the steps on how to log into the GSX Integration settings in the Weevio apps and generate a new token.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough

  1. Visit https://cloud.macexperience.com and click the login button at the top-right of the window.
  2. Enter your Weevio Cloud login information and click LOG IN.
  3. You will be taken to Weevio Store.

  4. If no location is selected, click on the Location button to select one of your locations.  (These settings are global across all your locations, so it does not matter which location you select, but a location must be selected for the settings update to be properly processed.)
  5. Click on Integrations in the side navigation.


  6. Find the GSX integration and click the Connect button to be taken to the GSX integration settings page.



  7. Click on the Get Token button located above the Activation Token field to be taken to Apple's Partner API Token Portal.


  8. Log in with the Apple ID and password of the user that you set up for dedicated use with the Weevio apps.
  9. Once logged in, the API Token Portal will display your newly generated API token.  Click Copy to clipboard to copy the token.

  10. Go back to your Weevio GSX Integration settings and paste the token into the Activation Token field.
  11. After updating your token, click "Verify Connection" - if successful a green notification will appear.

  12. If you get a message indicating that the token is invalid, repeat steps 7-11 to retrieve and test a new token.  If you continue to see issues after multiple attempts to replace your token, please reach out to support@weevio.co, so we can assist you.
  13. Once you've received the "New GSX Auth Token retrieved successfully" message, you can close your browser.  
Please note that once you replace your token, it can take up to 15 minutes before appointments start syncing again.
